The Ajrak is an ancient technique dating back to 2500 BC. It comes from Gujarat and Rajasthan in India. To decorate the tissues, a particular block printing technique is used and followed by natural dyeing in typical combinations of white, red, blue, gray, yellow or black. The Ajrak is the symbol of the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the Indian regions. Any characteristics of the fabric is in fact inherent in the manual weaving process, and gives it a unique finish for each garment.
